Cyber-bullying is a chronic social media problem. It was found that up to 24 percent of adolescents had experienced bullying online. Social media can also become an addiction, even if it’s not considered a substance abuse. Recent studies on brain imaging have actually shown that addiction to the internet results in the same brain changes associated with substance abuse disorders, also leading to depression and anxiety.
